People ask me all the time what there actually is to do in Temecula Valley. The short answer? A lot more than you would guess for a town this size. Between Old Town, Wine Country, Pechanga, hot air balloons floating over the vineyards at sunrise, and some of the best hiking in Southern California, it is genuinely hard to be bored here.

Iconic Temecula Experiences
1. Hot Air Balloon Ride Over Wine Country
Sunrise flights with California Dreamin' or A Grape Escape. Bucket list stuff, and one of the most photographed experiences in Southern California.
2. Old Town Temecula
Wooden boardwalks, live music, boutique shopping, and some of the best restaurants in the valley (Public House, E.A.T. Marketplace, 1909, The Goat and Vine). Free parking, easy walkability, and great for a date night.
3. Temecula Wine Country Tour
Over 40 wineries within 15 minutes of downtown. Book a shuttle or trolley and make a day of it.
4. Pechanga Resort Casino
One of the largest casinos on the West Coast. Even if you do not gamble, the spa, pool complex, restaurants, and concerts are worth a visit.
5. Temecula Valley Farmers Market
Every Saturday morning in Old Town. Local produce, live music, breakfast burritos, and small town charm.
Outdoor Adventures
6. Wildomar OHV Trails
Off road heaven in the Cleveland National Forest. Bring your dirt bike, ATV, or side by side.
7. Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve
Wildomar's crown jewel. Vernal pools, oak woodlands, and 40 miles of trails. Great for hiking, trail running, and horseback riding.
8. Lake Elsinore
Southern California's largest natural freshwater lake. Wakeboarding, jet skiing, fishing, and paddleboarding all year.
9. Diamond Valley Lake
A quieter alternative in Hemet with excellent bass fishing and scenic loop trails.
10. Vail Lake Resort
Camping, mountain biking, and one of the most stunning lake settings in Riverside County.

14. Skull Canyon Ziplines
Six ziplines above the Cleveland National Forest. About 20 minutes from Temecula.
15. Pechanga Pumpkin Farm and Cornfield Maze
A fall tradition for local families.
16. Temecula Duck Pond
Simple, free, and always full of ducks. Bring bread (well, actually bring cracked corn, it is better for them).

17. Craft Beer Scene
Temecula has become a real craft beer town. Wiens Cellars, Ironfire Brewing, and Karl Strauss all have taprooms locally.
18. Refuge Brewery
Murrieta's flagship craft brewery with an excellent taproom and food trucks on weekends.

Old Town's best patio for margaritas and street tacos.

Farm to table breakfast and lunch spot that locals rave about.

Classic cars fill Old Town twice a year. Free to attend.

Free Thursday night concerts at Launch Pointe in Lake Elsinore. Bring a chair.
